I mentioned grammar and plagiarism checkers for two reasons: 1) My MBA instructors were more interested in my writing skills than my English professors. California public schools did not help. 2) One of my instructors took half a class session on plagiarism and all the rules that go into it. I ran one of my Harvard Business Review briefs through a plagiarism checker. It was considered 10% plagiarized. I had typed out this brief on top of my head as fast as possible to avoid losing points.
